Tributes have started pouring in for the young boy who was stabbed at school, with fellow classmates and parents of the students gathering at the gates to lay flowers.
The 15-year-old has been identified by police as Harvey Willgoose. All Saints Catholic High School, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, had reported to parents that a “serious incident” happened on Monday (February 3). Messages sent to families say: “Students will be released when police give permission.”
It was then confirmed that a teen was stabbed at the school at about 12.17pm while another teenage boy was detained by the police. He is still believed to be in police custody. Later the death of the teen was confirmed after Harvey was said to have been knifed three times in front of horrified students.
An air ambulance was seen landing at the school as the emergency services attempted to save the life of the victim. He was quickly rushed to hospital, and the boy’s family was made aware.
In tribute, flowers, balloons, an England flag and a card were yesterday evening left in tribute to the teen. These tributes are expected to continue into the morning, as investigations are being carried out at the premises.

Crime Scene Investigations teams could also be seen at the school last night. A teenage girl, speaking with her mum’s permission, said: “He was one the sweetest souls and he lit up every room.
“I will never forget him and all the funny comments he would make. He was loved by so many and will be really missed.” Harvey was clearly well loved by his fellow classmates.
His death comes after the school was previously placed in lockdown measures. This was due to “threats of violence” between pupils.
Knife crime campaigner Anthony Olaseinde said he had worked with All Saints and its pupils had put together a video warnings of the dangers of carrying knives.
He said: “We have been having the same conversation about knives for six years, and we’ve been doing all we can with engagement with young people and taking knives off the streets.
“Some schools shy away from the issues, but we have done projects with All Saints, and they have always got involved with us.”
Speaking to ITV news, one pupil told of the horror moment he heard about the knifing. He said: “I went outside and heard two or three year 11s shouting ‘someone got stabbed, come here’ to a teacher.
“So then I went outside to see what was going on and I saw a body on the floor.”
Another pupil told the station: “It doesn’t feel real, it feels like America, but this is Sheffield, this is crazy.”
Harvey’s parents or family have not yet spoken publicly about the death of their son.
