A woman who sliced off her boyfriend’s genitalia after he raped her 12-year-old daughter openly told police about how she stabbed him to death before burning his corpse.
Neighbours in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, phoned cops after they saw accused Erica Pereira da Silveira dragging her boyfriend’s body toward scrubland on April 11. When officers arrived they discovered the still burning body of Everton Amaro da Silva, 47, before following the gruesome trail of blood back to his killer’s apartment.
Authorities say 43-year-old Pereira da Silveira confessed immediately, showing cops the murder weapon she used to mutilate him after she drugged him. The killer said she’d flown into a rage after she arrived home and found Amaro da Silva in bed with her underage daughter.
Chief police investigator Franz Cesarino told local: “He had been in the house, in the room with the suspect’s daughter in a situation that appeared to be rape.
“It’s hard to tell exactly what happened because they were all either high on drugs or alcohol. The victim’s body has been sent to the institute of forensic medicine for examination.”
Police seized Pereira da Silveria’s knife, wooden club, iron bar and her mobile phone after they apprehended her. She has been charged with qualified homicide, because her victim was killed while he was drugged and helpless.
Cops are also tracking down a 17-year-old male who is believed to have helped Pereira da Silveira get rid of her boyfriend’s body.
The infamous case of Lorena Bobbitt, who became a global sensation after she cut off her husband’s penis in 1993, was revisited last year in ITV’s documentary I Cut Off His Penis: The Truth Behind The Headlines.
The programme that came out in October last year delves into similar incidents from around the world, including those in the USA and Thailand, drawing parallels to Bobbitt’s story.
Lorena accused John of forcing her into sex and raping her on several occasions, an allegation supported by her lawyer Blair Howard, who stated that John found “excited by violent sex” arousing and left Lorena feeling “trapped”.
John has consistently denied the accusations of rape and any predilection for violent sexual activity.
John requested a divorce, claiming he “begged” Lorena, who was opposed to the idea. Following an evening where alcohol was consumed, Lorena alleged that he assaulted her and raped her, whereas John contends that Lorena was not asleep and initiated the physical contact.
Lorena recounted her actions afterwards: “I pick up the knife and…I went back to the bedroom. I took the sheets off and I cut him. Everything went just fast.”
